Introduction to Scopus & Faculty profiles In-Person
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
This workshop will cover various features of Scopus and address citation analysis using Scopus.

More than 25 years of experience working in libraries in the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.
In the United Arab Emirates worked for one year in the Higher Colleges of Technology ADMC as library assistant, handling acquisitions, reference, daily and monthly statistical reports, and participated in establishing the new medical CELT library.
Since 2006 up-to-date working at the Petroleum Institute (pre merge with Khalifa University and Masdar Institute).
Started as acquisitions library officer: building PI's collection, original and copy cataloging, ILL requests, and reference services.
Research services librarian: reference services, information literacy sessions, workshops, create research guides, liaison with students and faculty.
Public services librarian: supervise client services workflow and functions. Develop, implement, evaluate information literacy programs. Research and computing workshops, prepare lesson plans, provide training opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. Library marketing and outreach services.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science.
Master degree in Library and Information Science.
